Forest Policy

In the Forest Policy research area we deal with these questions. We monitor and analyze political decisions, legal regulations and societal demands on forests. Based on our analyses we point out where political decisions are needed to avoid undesirable developments.

How important are forests for recreation, pure drinking water and clean air and how to evaluate this? We try to find answers for these questions as well by developing evaluation methods for these services of forests.
