Technical Infrastructure

Ein Schleppnetz wird eingeholt

In order to succesfully fulfil our research assignment in an efficient manner, we have equipment of high quality available.

We are always interested in national and international cooperations. Besides the current facilities (hard- and software; fully equipped laboratories), we are equipped with the following facilities:

  • 2 x Simrad EK500 (18 kHz, 38 kHz, 120 kHz and 38 kHz, 120 kHz)
  • Simrad EA500

Ichthyoplankton (Eggs and larvae of fish)

  • 2 x "Nackthai" (High speed plankton sampler with 280 µm mesh size)
  • MIK (Methot-Isaac-Kidd-trawl) with 2 m diameter and 500 µm mesh size

Trawl nets

  • 3 m beam trawl (for youngfish and brown shrimp)
  • 7 m beam trawl
  • GOV (Grand Ouverture Vertical; demersal trawl)
