Scientific Symposium on Automobile Technology 2012

Innovative Automobile Technology III

Doctoral theses often result in innovative developments of systems, products or methods.

The textbook “Innovative Automobiltechnik III” solely contains research topics in automotive engineering, which were or are elaborated in the context of Dr.-Ing. dissertations. The research subjects comprise fuel technology, innovations in engines or vehicle management. The spectrum of contributions covers engine technology, development of combustion techniques, biogenic fuels, hazard analyses in road traffic and driver assistance systems. With respect to the methods applied, new theoretical considerations and elaborate simulations as well as test stands have been utilized.
The fourteen papers contained in the textbook were presented and discussed during the Wissenschaftssymposium Automobiltechnik, which was held on March 21 and 22, 2012, in Braunschweig.

New book published: Method for the assessment of biodiversity in LCA, exemplified by biofuels

Umwelt und Raum

In Volume 3 of the Series “Umwelt und Raum” a method for integrating biological diversity into the LCA is introduced: Essential is the integration of spatial references into the usually spatially unspecific LCA. This work is not done on the relatively easily assessible farm level. Instead, it shows possibilities of expression and their limits on the national level (Federal Republic of Germany)

Unser Team bekommt Verstärkung

Henning Storz

Test container for the cleaning of stable exhaust air under practical conditions

The Institute of Agricultural Technology and Biosystems Engineering (Johann Heinrich von Thünen Institut, vTI) works for an efficient and resource conserving agriculture since many years. On this year’s Eurotier exhibition a test facility for the cleaning of poultry exhaust air with an initial dry dedusting aroused great interest by farmers and their associations. Also foreign experts from South Korea, the Netherlands, Austria and Switzerland took a great interest in the technical procedure.
