Cruise purpose
Winter distribution of prawns in the southern North Sea
The trip is the continuation of the 650th cruise of the “Solea”. It shall also improve the knowledge of the distribution and frequency of prawns (Crangon crangon) during the winter.
The standard program of the 650th cruise is to be continued and concluded. In conjunction with this it is planned is to include the Danish sea area to the west of Jutland, in the framework of a cooperation with the Technical University of Denmark, since fishing and shrimp populations have strengthened there. In addition, the Dutch coastline and if possible also the English coast (Wash) shall be investigated.
