2006 – 2008: Seniorwissenschaftler an der Technischen Universität von Dänemark, Dänisches Institut für Fischereiforschung, im Bereich Fischereibiologie mit Schwerpunkt auf Populationsdynamik und Reproduktionsbiologie.
 
2002 – 2006: Wissenschaftlicher Assistent der Fischereibiologie im Forschungsbereich Marine Ökologie des IFM-GEOMAR in Kiel.
